Based in Osaka, 34 years old. With Susami (Wakayama) and Owase (Mie) as his home waters, he chases yellowfin tuna, bluefin tuna and hiramasa.

He fishes everything from big game to light tackle, but casting is where his passion burns hottest. He hunts yellowfin across the Kii Peninsula, and follows the bluefin migration to Tango, Toyama, Izu and Aomori — spending more than 70 days a year on the casting deck. What drives him is simple: the desire to catch the next fish.

Here, where the yellowfin run, he hones his casting; when bluefin season comes he travels to Tango, Toyama, Izu and Aomori, following the fish across Japan.

More than 70 days a year, he stands on the casting deck with his eyes fixed on the horizon.
