A path walked alongside the sea.
From apparel making in Italy, into the world of fishing tackle. And on, to making things within a life rooted in the sea. The road ISOLABLEU has travelled has always run beside the sea and the wild. Each encounter and each turn along the way has shaped the brand into what it is today.
2004
Into Italian apparel OEM
We began planning, importing and selling OEM Italian apparel. For the decade that followed, we worked hand in hand with Italian makers, learning the feel of genuine materials and the work of skilled craftsmen. That experience remains the foundation of how we think about a product today.
2012
Into the world of fishing tackle
Fishing, a passion of many years, became our work. From both the field and the product side, we came to be deeply involved in the culture of fishing.
2020
A turning point — rethinking the way we live
The COVID-19 pandemic forced us to scale the business back, and changed not only our way of life but our relationship with fishing itself. It became a time to pause, and to look again at how we wanted to live, and to make things, from here on.
Today
As ISOLABLEU
We had long wanted to develop our goods while living closer to the sea, and so ISOLABLEU was born. Based in Aoshima, Miyazaki, we work on that making ourselves — a little at a time.
